IT Infrastructure Administrator (HYBRID)
Role
We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Administrator will be part of our clients internal IT team. The role will be responsible for the design, implementation and support for the Global Internal IT infrastructure. The role will ensure that all Internal IT Infrastructure, Systems and Applications Globally are monitored daily, ensuring back-ups are completed, updating hardware, software, carrying out server maintenance and security, overseeing implementation of new solutions and services, delivering projects on time and to budget, alongside assisting the IT Support team on a 2nd/3rd line basis.
Role Responsibilities
• Daily monitoring of network, systems, servers, making sure back-ups are running efficiently and successfully.
• Effective provisioning, operation, and maintenance of systems and hardware/software.
• Administer and maintain existing on premises and cloud infrastructure for the global estate.
• Takes ownership of highly complex incidents and problems and provides resolutions in a timely manner.
• Implementing security protocol and procedure to prevent potential threats.
• Translate business requirements into solutions and deliverables.
• Making sure all systems and infrastructure as secure, updating/improving where necessary.
• Provide 2nd / 3rd Line support to all IT Infrastructure and Applications to support to the business and its employees.
• Working with 3rd Party support partners/ internal teams to make sure Internet connections, cabling, virtualization platforms and storage area networks are monitored, backed up and up to date with security patches, etc.
• Assist the IT manager with project delivery, implementations and the transition to cloud using a “cloud right” strategy were possible.
• Provide ongoing analysis of the IT and technology market, existing and upcoming trends, cloud offerings and their suitability for the business offering new solutions to the IT Manager for continuous improvement.
Requirements / Desirables
• Applicable professional qualification, such as Microsoft, AWS, Cisco (Desirable).
• Minimum 2-3 years working in a 2nd /3rd line IT support or Infrastructure role.
• Extensive experience with IT systems, networks and related technologies.
• Solid knowledge of best practises in IT administration and system security.
• Minimum 1-2 years project implementation experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possess a strong hands-on technical ability across both on prem and cloud infrastructure (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) including but not limited to: Office365, Dynamic365, Azure AD, AD on-prem., GP, IP, DNS, VLANs, switching, routing, firewalls Cisco Meraki, Servers, SAN/NAS, VMware/Hyper-V, VPN.
The role will report directly into the IT & Systems Manager.
Hybrid working role with 3 days homebased
