Employee Relations Advisor
We are looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to join our clients fast-paced and friendly team. In this role, you will provide employment relations advice and guidance to clients, as well as supporting managers with a variety of HR issues. This is a busy role that requires a strong operational focus, while providing best practice, practical advice that is tailored to each client's needs.
Your key responsibilities will include: providing up-to-date employment relations advice and support to clients by telephone, email, and face-to-face (when necessary); identifying and escalating cases to employment lawyers, HR/H&S Consultants, as appropriate; summarizing, discussing, and communicating issues or trends of concern; delivering employment relations training; developing and maintaining client policies and procedures; providing support to the team and clients; producing information and reports; and assisting with business development opportunities.
Education-wise, we are ideally looking for someone who is Level 3 CIPD qualified or is willing to work towards a CIPD qualification. You should also be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
In terms of experience, we are looking for someone with proven experience in providing employment relations advice, coaching/training managers in employment relations related skills (e.g. disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management), supporting managers remotely, being involved in employment relations projects, developing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You should have excellent knowledge of current employment relations legislation and an ability to apply it in a variety of situations. You should also be an excellent communicator, both verbally and written; have a confident approach to people; possess logical and problem-solving skills; have excellent attention to detail; be able to identify areas for improvement and suggest changes; maintain confidentiality and integrity at all times; and have an eagerness for self-learning and development.
