The Role of Commercial Operations Manager

This is a full-time position with a 35-hour workweek that will require occasional travel to our Rainham and London offices as well as more regular trips to our client sites, so proximity to the M3/M4 corridor is ideal. The limited travel can be expected to broaden as we acquire more and more clients.
As the primary contact for our corporate partners, the successful candidate will act as a customer-facing representative for our business.
The successful candidate must be results-oriented and capable of identifying opportunities and communicating them back to the company, as well as timeously recognizing instances where the expansion of a project is outside of the job scope. A small business mentality will be invaluable in this role.

The role of Commercial Operations Manager is to lead the commercial performance of a range of motor insurance products and services for prominent automotive companies. You will interact with a range of stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and help our client grow their business by creating new products, services, and insurance relationships.

Your primary duties will be to handle all operational queries with our corporate partner clients, ensure delivery partner performance standards are met, monitor and ensure revenue plans and income results are achieved, maintain customer/partner relationships and identify mutually beneficial opportunities, interpret and utilize key performance data, and provide commercial and technical guidance. You could also be called upon to contribute to annual and other periodic planning, collaborate with platform product teams, confirm compliance of activity, and ensure fair outcomes for policyholders.

Your ideal background would include experience in a variety of technical, development and operational roles in the insurance industry, familiarity with corporate partnership and affinity relationships, and knowledge of traditional, delegated, capacity and MGA structures. You will need excellent communication and problem-solving skills, be commercially aware, and feel comfortable using Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of compliance frameworks and ACII qualification/progress towards qualification is also preferred.
