Sheet Metal Worker - DUCTWORK
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork for commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with sheet metal and ducting systems, with a focus on precision, safety, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
• Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork to design specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Cut, bend, shape, and join metal sheets using hand tools, power tools, and machines.
• Ensure accurate measurements and high-quality workmanship.
• Work on-site and in the workshop as required.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other trades on site.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace in a clean and safe condition.
• Report any defects, issues, or delays promptly.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker, preferably in ductwork or HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Skilled in cutting, shaping, and joining metal sheets.
• Knowledge of fabrication tools, machinery, and safety standards.
• Attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights when required.
• Strong team player with good communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
• NVQ or City & Guilds in Sheet Metal Work or related qualification.
• Experience with spiral duct, rectangular duct, and insulated duct systems.
• CSCS card or willingness to obtain.
