Technical Sales Advisor
Overview
We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Sales Support & Technical Advisor to join our team. This role supports customers, contractors, and installers by providing technical product guidance, preparing accurate quotations, and assisting with system design. You will play a key part in ensuring projects progress smoothly from initial enquiry through to final installation.
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically confident, and able to balance proactive sales support with sound administrative and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Contractor Support
• Act as a primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and installers.
• Provide clear and accurate technical product advice.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
Sales Support & Quotation Preparation
• Prepare competitive and accurate quotations based on project specifications.
• Follow up on enquiries to secure orders and support sales targets.
• Maintain high-quality communication throughout the sales cycle.
System Design & Technical Input
• Interpret and understand schematic drawings and technical documents.
• Produce basic CAD room layouts or mark-ups for proposed systems.
• Assist with system design to ensure compliance with performance and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support to the installer team during project delivery.
Project Administration & Coordination
• Manage the entire process from enquiry to installation, ensuring smooth handovers and timely progress.
• Liaise closely with internal teams and our network of installers.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and project tracking.
Skills & Experience Required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer service mindset.
• Demonstrable experience in sales support, technical sales, or customer-facing technical roles.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings.
• Ability to produce basic CAD drawings (experience with AutoCAD or similar desirable).
• Good understanding of Building Regulations relevant to system installation (industry-specific knowledge preferred).
• Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Organised, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Desirable
• Experience working with contractors, installers, or within a construction-related environment.
• Background in engineering, building services, HVAC, renewable energy, or similar technical fields.
