Precision Engineering Machinist
The Role
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Precision Engineering Machinist with a background in operating large manual machines to join their production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working on vertical and/or horizontal borers within a precision engineering setting.
This role would suit an individual with proven experience in one or more of the following areas:
Manual horizontal borer – setting and machining large fabrications and components, including milling, drilling, tapping, and boring to tight tolerances
Manual vertical planer – setting and machining large fabrications and components
Manual vertical borer
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Work independently or as part of a team, setting and operating manual machines, including vertical and horizontal borers
- Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Use height gauges, micrometres, and verniers to measure finished components
- Carry out quality checks and inspections
- Machine precision components to tight tolerances
- Work safely at all times and produce high-quality workmanship in line with client standards

Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00
Friday: 07:30 – 16:00
Overtime available
Salary
Salary is negotiable *depending on experience*, with excellent earning potential on offer.
