Commissioning Engineer
An exciting and rare opportunity to join a globally expanding company as a Commissioning Engineer.
You are required as a minimum to be able to complete/assist and carry out the following in your role:
- Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to attend sites across UK, Europe, Africa and the rest of the world as required for the business needs.
- Attend new and previous client/Customer sites to complete final installation works and commission in service or new or reconditioned gas compressor systems.
- Attend various client and customer sites to investigate & repair current live mechanical compressors, motors and various equipment in our gas and oil compressors systems.
- Be able to read and understand P & ID drawings, electrical drawings, CAD drawings to investigate system issues and fault find as required. This includes control valves and other sensors and control units fitted to the system.
- Carry out motor, compressor alignments in field and in workshop and be able to strip down and rebuild systems/compressors as required.
- Carry out work on high pressure systems, carrying out pressure testing of pipework & systems as required on site and in the factory.
- Able to work individually or in a team to reach complete works as required on site or in the factory.
- Able to carry out pipework’s including tubing and black iron type systems (thread works) as required on site or in the factory.
- Prepare database of the various items e.g. valves, compressors, pumps, electrical instruments and mechanical instruments. This may also involve updating the documents after the client has reviewed the documents.
- PLC & Electrical knowledge & understanding, a great benefit and advantage on site to assist in fault finding and trouble shooting.
